Leicaflex SL

Broadening Our Vision

The Leicaflex SL is the first Leica SLR with exposure metering through the lens – and the world’s first camera with selective metering, which allows particularly targeted and thus precise exposures. As the Leicaflex SL mot and with a corresponding Leicaflex motor, it can expose up to 3 frames per second.

The Quiet Before the Moon

Mario De Biasi’s photo would have remained a small snapshot of man if it weren’t for the fact that its protagonists are the two astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin as they sit in the cafeteria of the Kennedy Space Center shortly before embarking on their mission to the moon. But it shows a last private moment before an as-yet unimaginable voyage. A short time and a giant leap later, both would be famous space pioneers.
